Sent to ER for possible Bloodclot because leg I had surgery femur energy then infection on twice in 7 months swelled bad and painful. The whole experience was great. Texted with updates all along the way. They took blood and did ultra sound and did find bloodclot behind knee. Given Eliquis for the evening and called in to Kroger with coupon for lower cost. All that worked on me were awesome. Provided the best of care and timely. Went in about 5pm & home by 8:30pm. Loved they had recliner also. A big Thank you to each and everyone that worked on me last night. My God bless you and each patient you all help.

I want to start by saying thank you to all of the staff who helped welcome our baby into this world on the 29th. We are incredibly humbled and grateful for the knowledge, care, kindness, and compassion we received throughout our stay. The doctors and the practice were straightforward, transparent, and clear every step of the way—no vague or swaying answers, just honesty and professionalism. Most importantly, my wife truly felt cared for. The nurses were attentive, checking in every couple of hours (and often sooner), and always made us feel supported during those long nights. It meant more to us than words can express. I understand every experience can vary depending on how busy things get, but I honestly wouldn’t change a single thing about ours. From start to finish, we felt confident, safe, and supported. I would absolutely recommend Martha for general care or for bringing a beautiful life into the world. I now fully understand why my family chose this hospital when I was born. Thank you all for everything—you made this moment unforgettable.

I went to Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital yesterday because of a blood clot scare, and I can honestly say the care I received was excellent from start to finish. Every staff member I encountered — from the front desk to the nurses and doctors — was kind, attentive, and compassionate. They took my concerns seriously, explained everything clearly, and made sure I felt safe and cared for the entire time. I’m so grateful for their professionalism and genuine empathy considering that I had to go alone. They truly went above and beyond!

My mom.was admitted on January 15th and discharged on January 20th! Linda Room number 2021! I arrived from New Jersey to join my sister on Friday January 16th! When I arrived in the lobby I was greeted by the most professional and welcoming security officers. What I discovered during my Moms five day stay was the best hospital experience ever! The staff at this hospital are some of the most compassionate, empathetic, courteous, professional,knowledgeable and reliable professionals Dr. Sarij and Dr. Arner are top notch professionals and all Dr's should have the excellent bed side manner as they possess. They were detailed, kind, knowledgeable and responsive at all times. They took the time to explain every course of treatment and each result to us and answer all questions. The nurses are in a league of their own! Kevin Ray,Perrina, Charlene, Tee, Both Katie's, Debbie, Sue, Kierva and Yvette the nursing student. Debbie, Kevin, Perrina and Ray were the first nurses we encountered. They were caring,kind, witty, warm, and professional. When they left we expected a shift in the level of excellence. The level of service did not shift the other team fell right in line with the initial level of excellence. Cody from transport and all the transport members were caring and professional my mom felt comfortable with them. I have never in my life walked into a hospital and from the security officers, front desk, market place shops, nurses, techs, food service, pharmacy, housekeeping and doctors are all excellent! That says alot about the level of training and expectations set by the hospital administration. Every volunteer and Chaplain (Andrea, Stefon, Meredith) that visited my Moms room were beyond amazing. No one wants to have a hospital stay however I am beyond grateful that my Moms stay was at Martha Jefferson! Kudos to the team for taking the most amazing care of my MOM ! It was an incredible experience from start to finish. Every doctor and nurse we encountered was both compassionate and highly knowledgeable, making us feel truly cared for every step of the way. From delivery through postpartum and recovery, the level of support and attention we received was exceptional. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience—this hospital is truly outstanding!

I recently had surgery at Martha Jefferson Hospital and my experience was great. The staff and surgical team were professional kind and they took the time to explain every step of the procedures making me feel at ease. I was really impressed with how careful everyone was about infection prevention. They followed very strict hygiene protocol. So thanks to their thorough care and attention to detail my recovery has been smooth and complication free. I would definitely recommend Martha Jefferson Hospital

Every aspect of my visit was amazing. The kindness of the staff was the best I have ever experienced. They made a scary experience a truly pleasant experience. My nurse was lovely and even Mac, the gentleman who offered food and a blanket, was one of the friendliest person I have ever met. Well done, MJ infusion center!!

My experience at Sentara Martha Jefferson was as good as it could have been. It was an unexpected hospital stay that included an unplanned surgery and I was well cared for, listened to, and everything that was offered was discussed with plenty of time for questions and answers. I appreciated being an active participant in my own care and decision making. I had great interactions with everyone; nurses, Dr, anesthesia, food service, techs.

I love Martha Jefferson Hospital. I was admitted in October of 2025 and had surgery and then started my Chemo Treatments in December. The doctors and nurses have been phenomenal since I started this experience. The care I have received is above and beyond. I would not have made it if not for the doctor’s and nurses’s support and care. The atmosphere is relaxed and every doctor has taken the time to listen and to address every concern and explained every procedure. The hospital is beautiful and the atmosphere doesn’t feel sterile and uncaring. It felt like home for the 10 days I was admitted. I felt like I was surrounded by the most wonderful friends and family. Thank you for helping me through this unexpected and challenging time of my life. I am so grateful for having your hospital take care of me.

My mother in law received great care here. She was on the 3rd floor and I can’t say enough good things about the nurses, CNAs and staff. Everyone was so kind to her. The PT department works together like a well trained machine. I have never seen a better Physical Therapy Department in my 63 years of life. The ICU staff was amazing. They were all so supportive, kind and caring. They treated her with nothing but love, kindness, respect and dignity from the moment she got there until she left. The management is very lucky to have the staff they have. I live in another state and I have never seen a hospital with such a Great Group of people. Thank you all for your great care.
